A quick shoot with Susan last week Saturday.
Week 3 was originally supposed to be using the Rolleiflex and some Fuji Astia at the University of Waterloo. However I learned that shooting a TLR handheld…not a wise idea when shooting at 1/60 of a second or less. You will get camera shake…and out of focus images. So frankly I did not want to post those images.
But! I had shot a second roll of film so the project was saved! So Week 3 was on winter drives and small towns. The small village of Erin as my subject. Having driven through it many times over the past couple years I decided to finally stop and shoot this wonderful town.

Week One was themed “Monday Thru Friday” where I can give you a brief look inside my job. I work IT at a local college. Most of my days I answer phone and email support calls but I do get to go out into the field.
Here are the 7 best shots of the week!
You will be able to see all the Project:52 shots here on flickr.

Recently on the FPP Flickr group someone posted up a link to a obscure Chicago Street Photographer named Vivian Maier. Vivian came to the US from France, learned English by going to the theater she wore a men’s jacket, men’s shoes and a large hat most of the time. She was constantly taking pictures, which she didn’t show anyone.
However one person has dicovered her works and is slowly posting much of it online you can view it here: vivianmaier.blogspot.com/.
I’ve only gotten to page two myself but I’m finding it a fantastic resource for revitalizing my work in the 6×6 format (and she shot on a Rolleiflex!).
