The Burlington Skyway, or as it’s officially titled “The Burlington bay James N Allan Skyway” was completed in 1958 to help keep traffic moving along the QEW by being able to bypass the old lift bridge. The bridge had tolls until the end of 1973. The section pictured is the original ’58 bridge, the 1980s addition is on the other side.
