September 2017 marked a milestone for Sheridan College. As a College Sheridan began its life as a collection of Satellite campuses, those campuses closed, the college moved to centralised campuses. One remained the Skills Training Centre. This September that campus would close its doors as the last satellite campus for Sheridan. STC, as it was better known, holds a special spot for me. I worked at the campus for several years, establishing a permanent IT presence at the small campus. So when I learned that the campus was doomed to closure I made a point to return one last time and document it. And documentRead More →

Ah and sorry about the delay but the V700 scanner I had ordered took a bit to actually come in! So I’m about four weeks behind, but these will come out one a day until I’m caught up then follow a somewhat regular posting schedule. But let’s get started! I apologize for posting these so late but with moving to a new office it threw off my grove for a week, but I’m back and in a new space which is a lot nicer than my old office. My division within Sheridan was moved from the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville to the HMC campus is downtown Mississauga. And well I love it, there’s windows, lots of natural light, and some new photographic opportunities. Sure it adds a bit onto my daily commute but I still don’t have to any freeways to get to work so that’s a plus in my books. I should haveRead More →

Having moved back up the Hill to the main Trafaglar Road campus of Sheridan, I decided to let one of the more photogenic of the four campuses be the subject for Week 49 (only fair since STC got to be the subject for Week 1). So to add some flare, I used polaroid cameras to capture the campus. Of course the Auto 250 got the most attention.
