Getting out there and taking pictures of random strangers in the street. Sure you get some people who turn away, or make a face, or even confront you about it. But for the most part, people are generally unaware. Back in August I went out and wandered up then down Queen Street in Toronto along with some fellow film photographers to capture a little slice of life on a typical Saturday afternoon in the city.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/axle81401\/15146331396\" title=\"Poster Girls by Alex Luyckx, on Flickr\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3900\/15146331396_740c9bb2f5_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"704\" alt=\"Poster Girls\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/axle81401\/14982788167\" title=\"Clasp by Alex Luyckx, on Flickr\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3861\/14982788167_ee5ef644ca_b.jpg\" width=\"656\" height=\"1024\" alt=\"Clasp\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Probably one of my favourite combos for shooting in the Street is my Nikon F4 and 105mm f\/2 lens sure not a &#8216;typical&#8217; setup for street many famous ones perfering to work with rangefinder cameras and short lenses. But the 105mm is just that &#8216;perfect&#8217; focal length for what I like to shoot and how I like the final images to look. Something I&#8217;ve been doing more of, when I go on photo walks and trips I go and buy fresh film. Better results and keeps the companies and local stores knowing that there are still people out there who support film.
