Well that&#8217;s what we&#8217;re talking about because there&#8217;s been a fair amount of exchanges of gear between our hosts even in the short four years we&#8217;ve been operating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikon F5<\/strong> &#8211; The Nikon F5 is no stranger to the CCR, we talked about it back when we did our brilliant Nikon F-Series where we first were joined by Bill Smith. But today, it&#8217;s John Meadows who recently acquired the F5 off of James Lee (who upgraded to the F6). As a replacement for his sadly nicked F4.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/axle81401\/21041443734\/\" title=\"CCR - Review 22 - Nikon F5\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/600\/21041443734_fc7dc30667_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" alt=\"CCR - Review 22 - Nikon F5\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">One thing that set the Nikon F5 apart was the integraded battery grip, a feature that was carred on through the professional Digital SLRs from Nikon starting with the D1.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Zeiss Ikon Contax IIIa<\/strong> &#8211; Being frustrated with the Barnack Leicas and having an eye for Robert Capa&#8217;s work, Alex picked up John&#8217;s Contax IIIa as he much preferred the Russian copy of the camera, the Kiev 3a.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/axle81401\/25726097151\/\" title=\"CCR - Review 35 - Zeiss Ikon Contax IIIa\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1484\/25726097151_2023c46fa6_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" alt=\"CCR - Review 35 - Zeiss Ikon Contax IIIa\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">While Cappa used a Contax II on D-Day, at forty yards, it&#8217;s hard to tell the difference.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Canon FTb<\/strong> &#8211; It only makes sense for Bill to get Mike&#8217;s old FTb, this beautiful match needle mechanical is the perfect addition to any FD mount Canon tool-kit.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/axle81401\/32080887484\/\" title=\"CCR Review 59 - Canon FTb\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3873\/32080887484_6aa2310cd8_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" alt=\"CCR Review 59 - Canon FTb\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Canon&#8217;s answer to all the mechanical match needle SLRs of the era, the FTb is a beautiful easy to use student camera and won&#8217;t break the bank!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>\u0424\u042d\u0414-2\u0431 (Fed-2b)<\/strong> &#8211; When it comes to Russian Leica copies, Mike is our local expert, so it only made sense that in our little internal trading circle that he get the Fed-2b.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/axle81401\/17037267939\/\" title=\"CCR - Review 10 - Fed-2 (\u0424\u042d\u0414-2)\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7626\/17037267939_80d987c1b5_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"642\" alt=\"CCR - Review 10 - Fed-2 (\u0424\u042d\u0414-2)\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">So this is just a Fed-2, but hey the background makes sense, yes?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Pentax 645<\/strong> &#8211; Having gone to a Hasselblad Alex decided to offload the Pentax 645 his &#8220;point-and-shoot&#8221; medium format to James Lee, however, James got little use out of the camera and turned around and sold it off already to someone willing to use this beautiful camera.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/axle81401\/22988445390\/\" title=\"Classic Camera Revival - Episode 11 - The Mystery Camera Challenge\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5650\/22988445390_2a891819ca_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"586\" alt=\"Classic Camera Revival - Episode 11 - The Mystery Camera Challenge\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">With a built in drive, meter, and eye-level finder, the Pentax 645 never got the same love as the Mamiya m645, but it sure was an awesome camera.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>GAS Meet II &#8211; A Success<\/strong><br \/>\nWe&#8217;d like to thank everyone who made it out to our second meetup in Cambridge, Ontario at the beginning of the month.
