I approach weddings as an event, because it is, but you, the couple are the star of the show. I have three different packages available for the couple, all of which can be modified to make the perfect package to suit your needs. Remember you’re the star.
Usually I like to sit down with the couple, and if possible the wedding planner before the ceremony to go over what sort of shots they would like, discuss where the formal portrait work is done, and the general times for when I will be shooting. Also at this time a contract will be signed and the 10% (of the package) booking fee is due. I will attend the rehearsal to get a feel for the flow of the ceremony and the environment in which I will be photographing.
For the most part weddings are shot primarily in digital however we are willing to shoot at least part of your wedding on film if you request it. When it comes to portrait work I will work primarily in medium format to provide better scans and quality images. For best quality images, I use the following films:
- Colour Negative (C-41) - Kodak Portra or Fuji Reala
- Colour Slide (E-6) - Fuji Astia or Fuji Provia 100F or 400X
- Black & White (B/W) - Ilford Delta 100 or Kodak Tri-X 400
Depending on the weather, the environment, and the personal choices of the couple I will choose an appropriate film.
For professional quality development and scanning, I send my film to Toronto Image Works. Due to the cost of shooting in film additional fees will apply.
It is customary in several cultures to have a wedding over multiple days, we cover those as well, and all packages can be adapted to suit the dates. Currently we do not cover destination weddings; I work locally in southern Ontario.
Bronze
Not having a whole day event, just a quiet ceremony at city or town hall, but you still want a keep stake from this special day? Look no further, covered in a cool casual manner, the Level IV or Civil Package provides a photographer for two hours to cover the ceremony and some formal work afterwards.
Package Cost: $300.00
Package Includes:
- A Photographer for two hours.
- A DVD of the original RAW files and/or Film Scans.
- A CD of fully edited photos from the day chosen by you.
- 3 5x7 prints of your favourite couple photo.
- Additional Prints and/or an album is avalible on demand (Additonal fees will apply).
Silver
My base package, designed for those who like control over their photos. Perfect for those who do scrap books, or even those who want to do their wedding on the cheap, but want quality images.
Package Cost: $1500.00
Package Includes:
- A photographer and assistant for the entire day. No more than 24 hours total for multiday weddings).
- A DVD of the original RAW files and/or Film Scans.
- A CD with exposure and colour corrected JPG files, perfect for printing.
- A CD with fully edited photos of the Photographer's favourite images
- 1 8x10 and 5 5x7 prints of your favourite couple photo.
Gold
This package is designed for the couple still looking to budget their weddings, but don’t feel they have the creative skills to create their own albums and prints. This leaves most the creative side of the post wedding development. I will handle the editing based on your choices of the proof images, then work with you to develop your albums. All albums are created and printed through Blurb, an online publishing solution, or another publishing solution of your choice.
Package Cost: $2500.00
Package Includes:
- A photographer and assistant for the entire day. No more than 24 hours total for multiday weddings).
- A DVD of the original RAW files and/or Film Scans.
- A CD with fully edited photos of the Photographer's favourite images
- 3 8x10 and 15 5x7 prints of your favourite couple photo (three different poses can be chosen). A 5x7 group photo of the wedding party for each member.
- 3 Custom made Albums. You will be able to purchase additional albums through Blurb.
Platinum
This is our top package and our most expensive, if you have money to throw around, this is the package for you! Basically it is the same as my Gold Package, but has double the amount of physical product at the end.
