Established in 2013 by MainStreetHost and taken on by Alex Luyckx Photography in 2015, #photochat is a community of photography professionals and enthusiasts who congregate to talk shop and discuss anything and everything photography. After a brief pause through 2023 Photochat is back with a monthly chat model. This is a cool idea, but Twitter isn’t a place I’m comfortable going any more. I think I saw you’re on Mastodon, that would be a great alternative venue that wouldn’t be supporting the business of a… well, I’m not even sure what to call EM anymore.
I’m happy to say that this week I’m running a trial of parallel Photochats one on Mastodon and another on BlueSky. I’m AlexLuyckxPhoto on both those platforms and follow the same #photochat.
